Credits: Iris magnifica, photo by Joyce Fingerut, April 1991. (D. Kramb, 09-NOV-03)

Comments: Iris magnifica growing at Amankhutan, Zeravshan Range, Pamirs outside Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Compare this with other photos by Joyce showing the iris growing from rock crevice and in flowing water, illustrating either the range of conditions that it will tolerate, or our lack of understanding of its true cultural needs.
