Iris lazica #7 of 9

Credits: Iris lazica, photo by C. Lankow. (D. Kramb for C. Lankow, 26-JUL-08)

Comments: A ripe pod on the six inch or so stem that developes only if the flower is polinated and the pod begins to develope. That is why some people say Lazica does not have a stem and is just a variety of I unguicularis...It doesn't have a stem when it blooms but only develops one as the pod forms. (D. Kramb for C. Lankow, 26-JUL-08)
