I believe Gordon is a hybred of Cantab x Iris bakeriana, Cantab turned up in E.A. Bowles's garden in a bed of Iris reticulata var cyanea. This is shown in the leaves of Gordon having more than the normal four ridges that Iris reticulata leaves posess. (PeterTaggart (UK), 13-APR-11)
