Distinguishing Features:

Series distinguished from other beardless iris by small rounded un-ribbed capsule and seeds with fleshy appendage. Species distinguised from I. ruthenica by thick resilient bracts that remain green untils seeds mature. (Ken Walker, 03-JUN-07)
